As our business grows and takes root, we envision expanding our product range to spread more garden joy!
In the meantime we have Pea Straw and Sheep Manure available, with Chaff, Custom Soil Mix and Hay Bales available soon.
Pea Straw
Pea straw is the remainder of the plant after the pea heads have been harvested.
Pea Straw serves as an excellent mulch for all types of plants, fruit trees, vegetables and flower gardens.
As a nitrogen-fixing plant, peas enrich the soil with nitrogen as the straw breaks down, contributing valuable organic matter during decomposition. This process fosters a thriving ecosystem in the soil, benefiting both plants and soil.
Please note that all straw will contain some seeds, which means pea straw can never be entirely weed free. You might find pea plants sprouting in your garden, but don’t worry—these will also help boost the nitrogen levels in your soil!
How many bales will I need? The coverage of a straw bale depends on the thickness of the layer applied. As a general guideline, plan for one bale per
4 - 5m², spreading it 4-10cm deep.
Sheep Manure
Sheep manure is suitable to use on all trees, shrubs, lawns, vegetables and flower gardens.
Sheep manure promotes healthy plant growth, acting as a natural product that boosts earthworm activity, feeds microorganisms in the soil, and improves soil structure.
Sheep manure can be used as mulch, applied as a top dressing for your lawn, or incorporated directly into the soil.
Sheep manure contains lower nitrogen levels compared to other manures, minimising the risk of burning plant roots, yet remains rich in phosphorus and potassium, both of which are beneficial for nurturing plant growth.
Our sheep manure is sourced from feedlots, ensuring it is free from weeds. Prior to packaging, the manure is processed through a machine that breaks up any clumps, resulting in a lump-free product ready to use straight onto your garden.
